Ron Vergara

MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Available for In-Person & Telehealth Appointments

“I have over 8 years of experience working within the medical field. With a diverse background, I have obtained a wealth of knowledge of the different stages of the collective human experience and pride myself in helping individuals and families through these times in their lives.

I believe in viewing each person as an individual, living a truly unique experience that must be treated as such. With a holistic view, I will help customize a treatment plan that encompasses overall health and wellness through diagnostic testing, nutrition, psychotherapy and medications if needed.

Many of us are quick to seek treatment when physical ailments have occurred, while our mental health is often overlooked. My goal is to ensure that you feel heard, that your worries and concerns are addressed. Together we will create a treatment plan that you are comfortable with and know that I will be here to help in your journey.”

Dr. Fred R. Stoddard

Medical Director

"I knew at an early age that I wanted to become a doctor. After high school, I attended Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, for my undergraduate degree, and then went on to earn my MD at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. As a newly minted physician, I joined the U.S. Army and served from 1968 to 1988. I completed a residency in Internal Medicine and was stationed in Belgium. It was during that time that I realized my true interest was in the field of Psychiatry.

I completed my psychiatric residency at Letterman Army Medical Center, where I remained on the teaching staff until I retired from the military. From 1988 until 2025, I worked at a 61-bed psychiatric hospital in Vallejo; for about 10 of those years, I served as the medical director. For 20 of those years, I also taught psychology interns in group therapy. Up until the COVID-19 pandemic, I maintained an outpatient practice as well.

In addition to treating inpatients, my professional interests include psychopharmacology, group therapy, and family therapy."
